I was looking at some of your pictures, and I saw something: The Contrabass oboe looks exaclty like the tenor Sarrusophone. Did anyone else notice this?

It does look a lot like it, but I think the CB oboe is taller, proportionally. The tenor sarrusophone is only approximately an octave lower than the oboe, whereas a true CB oboe should be two octaves lower.

Signs
In a fit of frivolity, I came up with a list of "Warning signs that you may be a contrabass maniac." They're posted at http://www.contrabass.com/pages/maniac.html . I'll take suggestions for additional symptoms....
