Reply-To: contrabass@contrabass.comHello Low Note Affacionados,
I'd like to introduce myself.
I was on the Contrabass-L several years ago & have now rejoined this august group.I'm primarily a Bass Trombonist, however in that regard as a freelancer, I do play many of the Bass's cousins including the wonderful Contrabass Trombone.
Though specializing in Bass Trombone, I do have a COMPLETE set of Trombones not only down though the BBb/FF Contrabass, but also up through the Bb Piccolo (even more rare than the Contra). If you're interested you can see some of my Trombone collection including both the Piccolo & the Contrabass on my website at http://www.Geocities.com/Vienna/Studio/7875/
Bass & Contrabass instrruments I own & play:
- Bb Bass Trumpets (Bach .485-7.5" bell & Mirafone .515-8" bell)
- Bass Trombones (Bach 50B w/8.5" bell, Bach 50T2 w/9.5" bell F & C valves, Bach 50B2L w/10.5" bell F & C valves, Boosey G Bass)
- Contrabass Trombone (Mirafone 620F .620 bore w/FF valve)
- Bass Tuba (Mirafone BBb/FF 184B).
- Gretch Custom (Electric Bass-4 st)
FYI on my website there is also a pic of me playing the Rod Baltimore Eb Contrabass Sax (with a Tuba mp, no less).Anyway, I'm from Chicago & it's nice to be back with other "low men on the totem pole" as it were. (women too).

although hecklephones don't quite interest me as much as subcontrabass tubas.
