contra--height stuff
I am 5'9" and I play a straight Bb contra. You should have absolutely NO trouble reaching the mouthpiece...but you'll be standing. A small price to pay for playing God's instrument. They usually have pegs, so you can adjust it to where you want it. (I like it about at just below my chin, since I lean into my playing, and the fact that you're standing gives you more...freedom for...musical movement ^_^ . )
