Subject: Bass Clarinet Mouthpiece Equivalents
When I bought my used bass clarinet, it had two mouthpieces. I settled on the Noblett 2L, which was easier for me to play the best sound at the time. Unfortunately, when I took it in to get worked on one time, the repairman, who had 30 years experience by the way, decided, without asking me, to reshape it. Needless to say, it was unuseable to me after that, and I reverted to using the other mouthpiece.
I would like to find a similar shaped mouthpiece to that Noblett 2L. However, it looks like all the manufacturers use a different numbering system for the sizes. Does anyone have a table that relates the sizes, so that I have some kind of starting point to find another mouthpiece?
