Hi everyone,
Greetings from Wales. My name is Owen and I play 5 string Double Bass and
Bass guitars which get tuned down to bottom A now and again. I stumbled
accross the list while finding pictures for my PC desktop. I recently tried
to put a bottom F# on one of my electric basses. I know that people do this
successfully, but my results were.......... underwhelming :( It sounded like
a lorry passing the house. This in itself was quite novel, but not exciting
enough to go and buy a new bass, and I cannot think where I could use it
musically.
Looking forward to swimming in the low vibes,
Owen

Hi Owen,
I am fond of Welsh music. To those who never heard of it, I would like to
recommend (another) old, old Hollywood movie: The Corn Is Green. Story set
in Wales in 1890.
Owen, have you ever run across a hurdy-gurdy in Wales?
May be yes, but not any sort of Welsh hurdy-gurdy?
I'm guessing.
jim/ right across the sea, northern maine.
