Wait a second: digs in the front *underside*? Isn't there a reed in the way?

I Goofed!!!
I talked to Benedikt over the Easter weekend about the new crook I needed to use a bass sax mouthpiece on the Tubax. I got it wrong. A new, shorter crook is only needed if the larger piece makes the horn flat. Has to do with the chamber size, apparently. First try a bass sax mouthpiece, and if the pitch is o.k., fine. The crook only differs in the length.
Apologies to all.
Simon
