instrument than the two Tarogatos I tried in Lark-in-the-Morning's San
Francisco store.

will probably work, or can be made to work. Stephen Fox also makes
tarogatos, apparently with a traditional mpc (see
http://www.sfoxclarinets.com/Tarogato.html) - perhaps he'll sell the
mpc by itself.Enjoy!

For anyone who was interested, the Morton contrabassophone was
auctioned at Sotheby's this morning for 5280 pounds (about US$7450).I wonder who has it now?
