Subject: [CB] Lenny Pickett

Hi everyone,

This is indirectly about contrabass instruments.  Did anybody see Saturday Night Live?  They announced the band as, "Lenny Pickett and the Saturday Night Live Band!"  I'm thinking this is going to drastically increase the demand for Lenny to put out another album, possibly similar to that of "Lenny Pickett and the Borneo Horns."  I'm sure this time he would include some sarrusophone playing on it!
Anyway, just thought I'd share my excitement!

Unfortunately, I DID see the season premiere of SNL.  I really needed to hit
bed early for a busy day today, but instead sat through all those horrible
skits which keep getting worse and worse each season.  Anyhow, it is funny
that you mention the band.  About half way through the show I found myself
wishing the bass sax was back.  Would be really cool to see some interesting
things from the band this season.   It might give me a reason to keep
watching the show.
